General Purpose
AI receptionist for GoHighLevel
An AI voice agent that answers every call, qualifies the caller and works your dormant list — connected directly to GoHighLevel. No Zapier, no Make, no middleware anywhere in the booking path.
Why GoHighLevel businesses buy this
GoHighLevel accounts are overwhelmingly run by marketing agencies on behalf of local service businesses, which makes the buyer and the end user different people. The agency cares about deploying the same thing across thirty clients without thirty manual setups. The client cares only that the phone gets answered and appointments appear. An integration that requires per-client hand-holding does not survive contact with that model, which is why account-level scoping matters more here than in a single-business CRM.
Speed to lead is the metric this ecosystem is built around, and it is the one place a voice agent has an unarguable advantage. A lead that fills in a form at nine in the evening is worth a fraction of what it was worth thirty seconds after submitting. Agencies already know this and already sell it; the gap is that the humans doing the calling are not available at nine in the evening and an SMS auto-responder is not the same thing as a conversation.
Database reactivation is a service agencies actively sell to their clients as a packaged offer, which makes it commercially different from most integrations on this catalog. It is not a feature the client discovers later — it is a line item the agency is already pitching. A connection that reads a client's dormant contact list and calls it with per-contact personalisation is directly the product the agency has already sold.
Agencies are unusually sensitive to per-task middleware pricing because their margin is the gap between what they charge the client and what the stack costs. A Zapier step that bills per operation turns a fixed-price retainer into a variable-cost one exactly as volume grows, which is the wrong direction. A direct connection keeps the cost curve flat and the margin predictable.
How you connect it
Authentication: OAuth 2.0 with agency and sub-account scoping (expected)
We are not publishing a credential field list for a connection that does not exist yet, because the precise grant shape gets settled during implementation and anything written now would be a guess. The model we would build toward is the one the platform is designed around: authorisation at the level you actually operate at, so an agency can connect once and address its sub-accounts rather than re-authorising client by client, while a single business connects only its own location. Credentials would belong to your account, contact records would stay in GoHighLevel, and revoking access would be something you do from your own settings. We do not buy vendor licences in order to build or test, so the first GoHighLevel build happens against an agency account that wants it and is willing to work through the setup with us.
Constraints worth knowing up front
- GoHighLevel is multi-tenant by design, with an agency layer sitting above individual sub-accounts, and almost every integration decision follows from which layer holds the credential. An agency-level connection that can reach every client location is a very different security posture from a per-location connection, and that has to be decided deliberately with the customer rather than inherited from whatever the API makes easiest.
- The platform has migrated between API generations, and older and newer endpoints coexist with different authentication and different object shapes. Building against the wrong generation produces an integration that works on the day it ships and breaks on a deprecation timeline, so the version question is settled before implementation rather than during it.
- Contacts in GoHighLevel carry heavy custom field usage because the platform is sold as a template that each agency reshapes. Custom fields are addressed by generated identifiers rather than by their display labels, so a merge variable that references one has to be bound at connection time — which is why setup involves a short mapping step instead of being fully automatic.
- GoHighLevel already ships its own workflow and automation layer, which overlaps with what a voice agent triggers on. Deciding whether a call outcome should fire a native workflow or be handled entirely on our side is a design conversation, and getting it wrong produces duplicate follow-up sequences hitting the same contact twice.
